Sorry for all these posts, this is the last one for sure! I saw Voxtrot last night. See related entry listed below to find out more information on Voxtrot.
The two opening bands are Au Revoir Simone and Sound Team. I thought Sound Team was actually pretty good, although from hearsay and gossips, I heard the guitarist is a bit of a jerk.
The Voxtrot show was alright, they seem to be having a lot of fun on stage. I was told that the last time they were here (on a Monday), that there was only maybe 12 people there. This time, they have a pretty packed venue, which made them really happy.
The most memorable part is when the girls from Au Revoir Simone joined on stage (see picture) for their final song.
They're still on tour, promoting their album, which was released 22 May 2007 (Morrissey's birthday!). Here's the rest of their tour dates:

7 June - Detroit, MI @ Magic Stick |

18 June - Newport, KY @ Southgate House |

Apparently I don't read the team.vox.com, but thanks to Angry Tiki for mentioning these Moo Cards. You have to add Moocards as a neighbor and then head over here to order 10 free cards. From what people tell me, the card are high quality, but the cost ($20 for 100 cards) seems really high to me. They do look pretty cool though.
Also, once again, I will be heading over to Chicago until Tuesday (leaving this Saturday morning). Please do not get me started on how much I hate Illinois' road tolls. DIE DIE DIE!

If you thought the triple-keyboard-action of Au Revoir Simone was good, check out this photograph of Secret Synthi (from left to right: Melinda Lacy, Heather Ottaway, and Jaimie Lock). Currently (as of 2005), Secret Synthi is just Heather & Jaime.
Secret Synthi, as their name implies, is more synth-based. I think they sound very UK-ish, like Dubstar.
Anyroad, they're supposed to have a followup album to Katzchenkollision (2003), and are working with Ryan Drury of Cat Five
By the way, what I found kind of funny is that going to CD Baby, the statement for their debut album is "PERMANENTLY OUT OF STOCK! DO NOT ORDER!".

Heather, Erika, and Annie, are Au Revoir Simone. (joke)Looking at their photographs, I can only speculate that they bathe together and sleeps together. Well, at least, we can only hope, because these are three very gorgeous ladies.(/joke)*
They are from Brooklyn, New York, and their music is nothing more than sweet harmonic vocals between Heather & Erika, with a backbeat of sound loops and synth-noise created by their three (yes, three) keyboards.
They're currently going to be in the UK on their extended tour, so check them out if they're in your area. I believe they're coming back to Minnesota with Voxtrot, so I may see them again next month.
"Stars" is from their advance CD (it's not officially released until a few weeks from now) and "Through the Backyards" was used in the television show "Grey's Anatomy".

Trivia: They've been on tour with Peter, Bjorn, and John, so usually Heather comes on stage to sing with Peter during that whistling song, "Young Folks".
