Velocity Girl

I'm going to have to check this out. Speaking of sub pop, I really wish someone locally had a copy of "Answer the phone dummy" by the Fastbacks.
Which reminds me, have you reviewed any Fastbacks records lately?
[this is good]

Thanks for this post. I loved Velocity Girl and am also fond of Sarah Shannon's solo records. I saw them play in an old warehouse in Baltimore in the summer of 1991. (Yes, I'm old. They opened for Lungfish.)

I haven't reviewed Fastbacks, if you want to review them, I will be more than happy to provide the music to you.

homebody, that is awesome re: seeing them live.
After VG broke up, 3 of the members formed a very short-lived band called Starry Eyes, releasing only 1 E.P. Archie Moore joined The Heartworms and later, The Saturday People (which i think has since broken up). As far as I know, Brian and Kelly are no longer in the music industry.

Useless trivia: VG was founded by Archie and Kelly, and originally called themselves Gotterdammacrats. Several band members and a name-change later, they became Velocity Girl.
