Originally I thought Louisiana's The Class War
was named after the UK-based group, lead by Ian Bone in the 80s (which
would've been ironic as they mentioned being American in two of their
songs). Anyway, the most interesting thing about this group was that
they eventually became anarchists.
After listening to their short five-track debut EP, A Crack In The Mask, which is being released today,
I can tell you that their songs catchy rock music. Giorgio Russo's
vocals reminds me of an American Kelly Jones.
If
you like rock music, you should definitely check these guys out. Songs
you might like are "Don't Forget I'm American", "Love Is", and "Here
And Now" (featuring Bridget Gary on backup vocals). If you're in the
Louisiana area, they'll be playing at Shakers Live (Sep 12th and Artmosphere on Sep 20th.)
