The Bastard Fairies - Everyone Has A Secret

Vu's post of Tying Tiffany reminded me of this duo even though the lead singer isn't a Suicide Girl. I think it was the lack of clothes...

The Bastard Fairies are Yellow Thunder Woman and Robin Davey from Los Angeles, CA. They decided to create music they wanted to listen to because (in Yellow Thunder Woman's words) "there wasn't any music out there that they liked listening too". They've also decided to release a 12-track version of Memento Mori for free through their website or you can buy the full album and get an extra 5 songs and a DVD.

And for all you Mac heads... they created the album using a Mac and GarageBand.

The Bastard Fairies could be termed an oxymoron. If this is the case then their music is most definitely oxymoronic. Naughty but nice. Sweet and sour. Beautifully macabre, wonderfully morose. The controversial video below features an 8-year old actress who expresses her views toward Bill O'Reilly and was featured on his show.
