Music from troubled minds.

I had no idea about a mental health day. And I was a psych major.

I was waiting for Daniel Johnston to be mentioned in this post. The only album I heard (I think it was Yip/Jump?) was pretty much hit or miss, depending on the track. I should get on that film, though, 'cause I do find him interesting.

Mothers have a day. Fathers have a day. Veterans have a day. Even secretaries have a day.

Now, thanks to World Federation for World Mental Health, I have a day, too!
Once again We <3 Music introduces me to an artist I've never heard before. I liked the Daniel Johnston track...I'll have to check out more!
I don't think you can even buy Marmite in the US.

Or, if you can, no one does.
Oh, today is the day?

Wonderful. As if I honestly needed to be reminded of my own private personal hell.

But such as it is.

I remember seeing Marmite (and its farflung cousing, Vege) once in a small grocery store in Mtl while feeding my Reed's Ginger Ale habit a few years back. Judging by the amount of dust on the tins, not sure it's a crowd pleaser.

As for my personal appreciation, I would have to fall on the "miss" side of things. It's okay but I wouldn't repeat the experience on a regular basis.
