BioShock
Wow, have you guys rented a video game recently? It's freaking $8 to rent an Xbox 360 game! I haven't rented a game in a long time, but the last time I did it: it only costed $5.
So the game I've rented is BioShock, which is critically acclaimed by many game critics. You may have heard about the controversy that Toys R Us was selling the game a week early[1]. If this was a Harry Potter book, it would've turned out ugly[2].
Anyway, poking around the internet, I found out that Cult of Rapture just officially allowed people to download Garry Schyman's orchestral soundtrack on their website (12 tracks).
For collectors, there is actually a 3-track CD available on the limited edition package of BioShock, as detailed in 2k Games's press release:

2K Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., announced today the upcoming release of an exclusive EP remixed by Moby and Oscar The Punk for its highly anticipated BioShock video game. The CD will be bundled with the GameStop and EB Canada exclusive Limited Edition version of BioShock when the title launches on August 21st for Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Games for Windows®. The CD is also available as a pre-sale gift-with-purchase from video game retailer, Game Crazy.
The three remixed tracks on the CD include Beyond the Sea, God Bless the Child and Wild Little Sisters, variations of which appear in their original format in the game. Music luminaries Moby and Oscar The Punk have joined forces to remix them with the game's atmosphere in mind.
So far, I'm really enjoying the game. I had to stop playing because the game froze on me, so I'm finally taking a break (otherwise I would've just played until I die in the game). By the way, I'm playing it on easy, just to get as far as I can.

I like the game enough that I might pick up the game in the limited edition if I can find it at a reasonable price.

By the way, here, in Ukraine, we are squatting all available torrent-servers, waiting for the game being cracked.
I have already played demo, and I liked it. Anyway, European release will be only on 29 of august, so I'll decide what to do till then.
But I really admire that 'noir' style in the game.
It also reminds me a lot of Fallout 1 and 2 (one of my favorite games). I can't wait for Fallout 3.
PS, there is a huge problem with the DRM on the game for PC. It will only allow you to install on three computers and only works with certain CD or DVD drives. A lot of problems with bugs and glitches....

I'm glad, that now developers are trying to make games more stylish, create certain atmosphere, spirit of their game.
Yes, I know, that's the reason why it wasn't cracked yet.
Now I remembered why I stopped playing video games!
(Music is cheaper and more entertaining most of the time anyway, heh heh)
also, about the DRM problem, 2kgames is actually making a patch right now that will fix that. should be able to be installed on up to like 5 PCs at once, and there's some sort of tool you can download that will remove the CD key from your computer when you uninstall the game so it can be put on another PC

it's a short game... but oh so sweet :)
but while i was at the store, i found a copy of "two worlds" used. i'm a huge RPG gamer, so i picked it up. the game was only recently released, so i was surprised to see it used. it's the limited edition with a book and a soundtrack/dvd.
i started playing it earlier today and i can see why the previous owner returned it right away: it's not that engaging. but i'll play for a while to see if it holds my interests... it's definite no bioshock haha :)
the limited edition bioshock is only available at EBGames/Gamestop stores... so just keep checking with them if you want it
