so you know, i thought this was very werewolfy. and it just so happens that i'm getting howling 2: your sister is a werewolf from netflix for saturday - which, sadly, i am very excited about for some reason.

i own howling 1 and 4 (the marsupial werewolves!) and have been meaning to fill in the gap of these terribly cheesy wolf movies... maybe next year i can do a better werewolf article haha.
I think Six Feet Under has a song called "Lycanthropy." It's typical corny death metal, and pretty hilarious!

I've actually never heard of that series, but it sounds pretty awesome. Are they slasher flicks or what? 'Cause of those, the best I've seen is Dr. Giggles. Really hilarious movie, in all the wrong ways.
dr giggles is actually based on dark horse comics, and i think it's pretty a pretty bad/cheesy comics too, so you might enjoy the comics if you liked the movie.

re: howling, it's basically a series of werewolf movies. it's pretty typical werewolfy movies. i believe the 1st one is the most famous and generally respected as a wolf movie, but all the sequels after that are panned by the critics as garbage.

although having just read the article that it's actually some sort of pig, i'm embarrassed to have thought the cover looked like a werewolf.
Fear Before the March of Flames also have a song titled "Lycanthropy," assuming that's relevant or noteworthy at all.
I would think cheesy horror flicks are where being panned by the critics as garbage would be a good thing, though.
I saw some javelina when I was just in Texas! they are peccaries, which look like wild pigs but actually not in the pig family at all. (more useless info) I thought they were kinda cute, they're pretty small and generally harmless unlike the rabid werewolf-pig in the cover art! haha
It would be really embarrassing to be a were-peccary, I think. While some people get the good curse and can turn into wolves and stuff, the were-peccaries are just stuck turning into little pig lookin' things. That's gotta be kind of a bummer.

haha, yeah, I don't think they even howl or anything, they just stand around munching on cacti. They're kind of oblivious to everything. I overheard some lady in Big Bend saying she came up on one that was napping and snoring in the underbrush at Big Bend. (I was so jealous)

still it could make kind of a good sad pseudo-horror flick. Like an anti-horror flick.

Well, in New Zealand they made a horror flick about killer sheep, so I don't see why not!
